BELIEVE EG21: PLAY LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW

Believe EG21: Play Like There Is No Tomorrow

One of my life goals has been to write the book I’ve always wanted to read. In December 2015 Believe EG21 became my first self-published paperback book.

Believe EG21 is the incredible true story of the 2005 Charleston Southern University Buccaneer football team. A team that was poised to have its best season in school history. Until tragedy struck and our star player and team leader was killed in a car accident just weeks before the season started. The book is about how we dealt with our loss through football and what we did to honor our brother and his family with our season.

What others are saying (via Amazon):

“Any college football fan will appreciate the vivid details of practice, games, position coach personalities, and the interactions between teammates. This is a story of a sport, a team, brotherly love, and belief. A must read for anyone who believes in the underdog and the love of a teammate. Excellent job by new author Mike McCann!”

“A great read for football fans and non-sports fans alike that proves that faith in the face of adversity and heartache will always prevail. A heart-wrenching tribute, powerful message and entertaining football journey wrapped up in one enjoyable read.”

“This book is great for anyone that loves not just great sports stories, but amazing, inspirational stories. Mike does a great job articulating what the young men on this team had to go through and their journey through this season!”

GIVING TO GAIN: HOW I LANDED 2 JOBS WITHOUT A RESUME

Screen-Shot-2014-07-24-at-8.18.57-AM-e1406204432932

I went ten months without a job.

I spent most of that time lost and confused, not knowing which path to take. And when I finally chose one, I didn’t know if it was the “right” one.

All I could do was forge forward and trust that everything was going to work out. I put my story into a book. This is how I gave my way to two jobs without a resume.

It wasn’t easy, and I’m still working hard at it. But I’ve learned some valuable lessons by taking this path.

Giving to Gain is filled with my experiences, stubbornness, mistakes, and successes as I do things my way. It’s filled with my stumbles and the mistakes along with the lessons I learned from them.
